Blue Barns offer a flexible service which ensures customers can select and control a range of vital factors including breed, lighting programme, temperature, feed and vaccination regimes. Our rearing farms are managed by caring and experienced staff who are all poultry specialists. Visitors are welcome to visit the flocks and see how their chicks are thriving

In rear, Blue Barns pullets are exposed to plenty of human contact to promote calm behaviour after transfer to the laying houses. In order to give the birds an easy transition into lay, all pullets are weighed regularly to monitor their growth profile and to ensure breed target bodyweights are met.

Comprehensive vaccination programmes are designed to rear resilient hens, ready to take on the challenges of the laying cycle, capable of providing high egg numbers of a consistent size and quality.
